This! I am very technical, but I have put those skills aside so that my teams can so their jobs without my interference. Why? Because being a manager is my full time job, not being an architect or engineer.
How technical do you need to be to be an Engineering Manager?. Most people will tell you VERY. I think not. You can be an avg engineer + a great EM. In fact, if you’re too technical of a manager it could hurt you. Speaking as a software engineer turned manager, here’s why:.

I figured it out. Give is a permanent mode in @FortniteGame where turbo building is disabled. That would satisfy the non-pro gamers and let us play the game we love without getting pubstomped all the time. You’re welcome @EpicGames.

My son had to design a monument to a person he finds inspiring and he chose @MarkRober. This is Ben with the model of his design. Not sure how far they will go in class, but he has gone through a few steps of planning to get here.

Went to the saddest funeral I’ve ever been to. I was sad, to be sure, but I mean that there was a 5 minute service for the six of us that showed up (half of which were my dad, brother and me). RIP Bill Monson.
