Yesterday Andrew McCarthy beautifully captured this Coronal Mass Ejection ☀️🔥. A CME (hella intense expulsion of plasma and magnetic field) towards Earth would likely lead to world shut down, basically. Here’s how, brought to you from my inner space nerd:.

So either crypto people are avoidant af OR I need to reword this better. If you talk to me 🤝 about yourself ✌️I will listen to you and ask you questions 🙌 to help you talk more 🙏 and it’s free 🤌.

#cryptotwitter and pals - slightly off topic, but still relevant:. I’m doing free therapy sessions (!!!). No catch. For anyone who feels their life isn’t going right for one reason or another, or for those can’t get past a difficult situation happening to them.

I would massively appreciate some support for my other side of life: @thegeorgiehypno . No, I can’t read your mind (yet) and yes, I can hypnotise now. It’s life changing.

To my crypto Twitter peeps:. I’ve had a change of scene from the world of crypto into the world of, well, us. How the brain works. How to help the brain work. How to help the brain not work when it’s not needed (if you don’t meditate already: you definitely should).

Don’t ever let others put doubts from their world into your world. Especially when you feel that something is right for you. It’s your world, your gut, so it’s right for you. Go with it and don’t stop.

And, even if it did happen - maybe it’ll be a message from the world saying that we just gotta get out more?

Side note - a CME-based power failure occurred for just 9 hours in Quebec (1989). The electrical effects discussed here are on the extreme side from a powerful CME. Also, Earth’s atmosphere and magnetosphere would protect our human bodies from solar flare effects. We’ll be safe.

A few days notice may not be enough time to organize world order for the absence of digitalization and avoid the effects that this storm will have on our daily lives and inevitably on our digital society but hey, .at least we’ll have enough time to stock up on toilet paper again

However, we’re not in 1859 times anymore. The good news is that we now have solar orbiters (like DSCOVR) and observatories (SOHO & STEREO) to detect the CME and study it’s evolution from the Sun to Earth. So *this* time we at least get a few days notice

A recent solar storm caused 40/49 of Starlink satellite’s to fall out of the sky in February. Some say he should had better prepared for something like that happening (sorry Elon 🤷‍♀️). Anyway - a CME hits and we could be well in for a satellite waterfall.

…take place due to damage of extra-high voltage transformers difficult to replace. = disruptions to financial markets, banking, telecommunication, pumping of water & fuel, food (transport issues). What would happen to crypto with a few black-out days?.

With the reliance our world currently has on the digital, a power outage would cause havoc. I’m talking total internet apocalypse and communication black outs, satellite disruption= GPS navigation going down. The power grid would take a big hit. Electrical outages of yrs could…

Firstly - this has already happened. In 1859 a CME struck earth’s atmosphere & caused the strongest geomagnetic storm ever recorded. The Carrington Event caused ‘magnetic mayhem’ and major electrical disturbances w/ telegraph systems in Europe & N.America.

Relatively large filament eruption off the southwestern limb of the Sun, observed by the SUVI camera onboard GOES-16 ☀️ The associated coronal mass ejection (CME) is not Earth-directed—and no, it wouldn't have caused mayhem had it been launched towards us.
