We did it!! We finally finished the walls of our #earthbag #rainwaterharvesting #cistern It took about a month for us to do it. Was a lot of hard work with shoveling the dirt, filling the bags and tamping them into place, but the walls are finally done. https://t.co/740eDZ36Na

Our friends had a #beeswarm in one of their trees. We caught them and are trying to house them in one of our homemade hives. Hopefully they like their new home. 😀

We just finished course 12 of our #earthbag #rainwaterharvesting #cistern We are now at or just a little above ground level. We only have a few more feet to go before we put a roof on this #badboy We're working on doing the backfill and tamping it down around these last layers

We have the pipe in place!! It may not seem like much, but I find this crazy exciting. This will be the pipe that transports the water from our new cistern to the house. It's all coming together. Now we can put the second layer of bags in place and keep on building.😀

What else are you going to do on a rainy day but empty some poo buckets? Nothing like getting a bunch of that rain water to help keep our #compost piles moist. With all this extra water things should be breaking down nicely. #humanure #humanurehandbook #gardening #Permaculture
