I genuinely hate to see people who leave these reviews. It's extremely discouraging to small developers trying to make different games in a market full of oversaturated trend-hopping just because they took inspiration. Also why did bro channel his inner Sans writing that review?

These often start as projects to learn about game development and to see what work went into the games we enjoy ourselves. It's a learning experience that some people get too comfortable judging. Into the Abyss is my first game. Ever. This is still the top review, and it hurts.

Kris clearly shows they care a lot about RUSHER as well as the games that inspired it if you took the time to actually talk to them. I made Into the Abyss to pay homage to Lethal Company and DESCENT. Perks, Movement Mechanics, Crafting, were all things we add to build upon it.

We shouldn't be shaming people for wearing their inspiration on their sleeves. Be proud that someone cares enough to take the idea and innovate upon it. I don't understand why people actively criticize indie games like they're a plague on the platform. #ROBLOX #RobloxDev

Also Roblox Dev communities on Twitter are extremely soulless and maximize profit with minimal passion. Not to throw shade, but I'm not looking for some advice to monetize my game and turn it into a cash farm. I'd rather die on the hill that is making an actual game with depth.

For context, this is the first project I've ever made using the Roblox Engine excluding the movement controller prototype. It's nice to see people who are interested in my work, but I wish it carried over to enjoying the game even in its alpha stage.

If I'm honest, this post performing well hurts. It feels like people only care for the reference, not for the effort. Yet, I constantly receive reviews for the game claiming "we need less games inspired by XYZ." Which is it gonna be?? It feels like my passion is for nothing.

Got bored, so instead of being productive, I ported the Psych Engine LUA system to Roblox to make Song Events for Into the Abyss. #RobloxDev #IntoTheAbyssRB

Sadly I'm now limited as fuck in time for working as well considering school and literal work take up most of the week for me. I'm not sure how much I'll share about the new content ahead of time but I promise you won't expect most of it. (3/3)

Recycling Plant development is only around 10-15% complete but we limited the scope of what we've wanted to do and now are just working on actual features instead of backend support. (2/3)
