i am of devastated by el but i don’t think hopper’s reaction 18 months later was out of character. he grew a ton over the last 5 years & has a huge support system now through joyce & the other kids. he of course is still hurting from the loss, but he’s not letting it consume him.

ppl disagreeing with steve bc he ended up in hawkins when 1) they are all still 22, they can still change, evolve and do anything with their lives 2) he never expressed the desire to leave unlike others 3) you don’t always need to move to a big city to be happy/successful
literally Steve, Robin and Dustin had the BEST arc of the season and they are the only ones that truly feel resolved
