Thanks to an incredible effort by @archiveteam, some 500,000 Daily Cal pages and files should be uploaded to the Wayback Machine in the coming weeks. That's good, but it's likely not everything. The scope of losses will be up to the Daily Cal management.
if you serve the public and every link to your website breaks whenever you redesign it, I question whether you're taking your public duty seriously enough.

Glad to see that the Daily Cal is back online with a new and improved website. However, the overhaul has killed tens of thousands of links that will render many old articles inaccessible. While @waybackmachine is a great resource, it's no substitute for deliberate archiving.
Please read this note from Editor in Chief Kavya Gupta regarding the updated status of our website. It would be an understatement to say that we are excited and more than ready to get back to providing you with stories that matter.
