Building more complex, robust, and scalable applications that go beyond just a Next.js fullstack app with a relational database is not so easy. And it's not just about where you deploy the app either; it's about the whole development lifecycle from local development to production.

@bunjavascript Guess where it tries to create the `foobar` folder when ran from inside `/build/source`?. ```.pnpm --filter=api deploy foobar.pnpm --filter=api deploy ./foobar.pnpm --filter=api deploy /build/source/foobar.```. in `/foobar` every single time, sigh. .

pnpm is so broken, why is anyone using it is beyond me. it's nice that you save some space locally, but it's just not able to reliably produce production bundles - deploy command is buggy, hoisting is a mess. I'll take npm over any alternatives (except maybe @bunjavascript).

> If you are a developer without DevOps knowledge, you are probably thinking either "not touching this with a ten-foot pole" or "docker-compose goes brrrr". If you are a developer with DevOps knowledge, you can imagine what a pain it would be to get this right and maintainable.

Nice to see Google pushing all the nice AI updates. But I wish they open sourced the Angular components and SDKs they are using to make them. It's such a shame @angular is being left in the dust. Community not active enough to make these of their own and so you end up with every.

Chicken and egg. That's the problem I've been fighting for the last 6 years. I've been wearing quite a few hats ever since I started working on @zeropsio, along with usually being the only person doing the particular job. And I added a few more since I became a CEO / co-founder.

I would go one step further and say that accessories are better ran remotely - @zeropsio makes this easy and affordable.

The sweet spot for Docker in development is to let it run your accessories, like database, Redis, ElasticSearch, but stick to native installations of Ruby/JavaScript/whatever using mise. No "works on my machine" version drift, little fuss, great performance 👌.

One of the reasons we decided to start out with all database services accessible only through the private network of the project (with the possibility of connecting to the private network securely using WireGuard).

Critical vulnerabilities doesn't have to be complex or have a CVE - @deepseek_ai publicly exposed their internal ClickHouse database to the world, without any authentication at all, and leaked sensitive data. No one is safe from security mistakes, follow along to learn more 🧵

I'm actually surprised how many developers "clean up" after themselves after deploying one of the example recipes to @zeropsio. Sure, they could be doing it to preserve the free credits for later, but I like to think they are concious about wasting resources. 🙂.

What a journey this has been so far, my friends. 2025 marks the start of the first year we'll have @zeropsio fully under our control, despite writing the first line of code way back in 2019. Looking back, it's incredible what we've been able to achieve, against all odds and

28 Weeks Later 👀. Over 6 months ago we acquired and re-launched Zerops, a platform we've been developing since 2019. And we worked hard to add support for new services, improve developer experience, flexibility and our infrastructure layer. See our 2024 recap / 2025 plans 👇.

Great job by Medusa team. To me plugins were one of the largest missing pieces after the v2 release. Can't wait until we start integrating Medusa with @analogjs and (deployed to @zeropsio).
