Like it makes sense why the monster would look the way he does in gdt’s frankenstein. It’s not the most faithful adaptation, sure, but the way the monster looks is one of the parts they chose to stay faithful for.

You also missed the point of the book because in the book, victor specifically stated that he picked the best traits in a man that he’s surprised how did the monster could end up so repulsive. He also purposefully picked long limbs to make his work easier.

I think the only change i don’t mind all THAT much was turning nelly and isabella both into shitty people as well, because in the book, they were the only two decent people and i always felt bad for them.

That was the whole purpose of the story. Giving isabella a full agency of her own fate makes heathcliff less despicable and actually somewhat honorable, because like… okay, he treated her like shit, but he told her that multiple times and she still consented:
