For this reason, our Global Network of Lighthouse Farms will be highlighting farming communities working under the most challenging of circumstances... because even there (or especially there?), we find beacons of much-needed learning, hope and inspiration... 4/6

Sadly, for so many farming communities around the world, disruptions are becoming the norm rather than the exception: either abiotic (climate change), biotic (pests, diseases, pandemics) or socioeconomic (price shocks, conflict). Which makes #resilience the new efficiency... 3/6

They found a community who - against all the odds - had strengthened their collaboration, protected their 💧 and natural resources, planted 🌳🌳, looked after their 🐝🐝 and had remained food secure. How did they do this? This we are studying in a @teagasc @WUR @giz_gmbh PhD 2/6

Learning from future farmers was center stage today at the #AgriResearch conference with Prof. @RogierSchulte providing an inspirational speech to kick off the day. We've now added more information about the inspiring work we do on our website:
