Today both of my kids are in school. They got on a bus without me and rode off to a place where they’ll make all the kinds of memories I have from my childhood. More and more they’ll become people who will surprise me and teach me, people I have the pleasure of getting to know.

This isn’t my world. I don’t know the etiquette. I’m aware I’m overthinking this is a silly way.

Stupid question for literary people: if an editor says that one of your submissions is being considered for an upcoming issue do… I email them back to thank them? Submissions are *strictly* just name/city/poems so I don’t want to be a bother but like…I want to respond of course.

Toronto adventure with my oldest daughter today. Took the train, saw an air show (a lady stood on top of a bi plane and didn’t even die), ate some bullshit. Wonderful day.

Exploring the beaches and cliffs around Dieppe then seeing the Monet collection a couple days later in Musée d'Orsay is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me. I miss them dearly.

I'm annoyed at how much this resonates with me.

I took that picture on May 8th. The binding on this book is still in perfect condition.

I don’t like cars but doing my work in my city means having a car and this seems pretty good.

I got an electric car. Not a Tesla. Seems pretty much like a regular car but I plug it into the wall.
