If anyone's curious what I mean when I say 'the English translation team is much smaller than the Chinese and Korean translation teams': this

https://t.co/pMvY4mPZw1 Here's a guide with hints to the three puzzles, for those who want to solve them on their own. The first two are relatively simple.

(So don't take this as 'an update is coming soon', just as 'if there ever was one, this is what it'd be' is what I mean. This is also where small typo fixes and TL error fixes would go, if people found any that were missed during playtesting.)

If I ever find a way to solve those two visual issues without breaking anything else, I'll probably update the game download. I will note that this requires messing with the engine itself, which is why I cannot currently change it.

The game is playable, they're just visual issues, but I've gotten multiple people asking if I plan to update the patch. While I don't particularly want to make people redownload the entire game for something small, the password and highlighting have bothered me too for a while.

As a result, there are a couple issues in the English patch that aren't in any other patch (or so I've been told), such as text going out of text boxes, the way the phone password displays, and the highlighting for the poem to get the suppressants displaying incorrectly.

Unlike what I've heard about the Chinese and Korean translations, which edited the RPGmaker engine directly (please correct me if I'm wrong on this), the English patch just replaces the text and images, but leaves the rest of the game untouched.

As a result, it might not look as professional as the other TL patches. I just wanted to let people know in advance, just in case there's something I still ended up missing.

To be clear, I'm not mentioning errors/typos because I'm not confident in the translation, it's just that as far as I know both other patches (CN/KR) were made by larger teams working together. This one was just done by me, with help from my friends for playtesting.

I've tried my best to avoid any typos/errors/differences in translation, but there might still be some that we didn't catch during playtesting: in that case, please treat the Japanese version as the original.

I didn't expect this to get as much attention as it did, so just a couple things to clarify. This patch was posted with permission, but SharkTaleFactory didn't advise me on the translation or anything like that: any TL choices (or mistakes) are my own.

Also, if you'd like to stream or upload playthrough videos of anything outside of the base game (DLC, Hermit's Room, Interlude), please keep in mind that the creator would prefer you ask permission first.

All of this is noted on the download page, but I figured I'd say it here too. Also, regarding the game itself please keep in mind that the creator would prefer you refrain from reuploading/editing the game's art assets.

And finally, if you've successfully extracted and run the game, but your text boxes look like this, you need to open the game in Locale Emulator, which can be downloaded here. https://t.co/eyNcdz5I2C This is separate from changing your locale to Japanese, & you need to do both.

If you see garbled text at any point, either file names or in other areas like this, you've extracted in the wrong locale. Go to Settings -> Time and Language -> Language and Region -> Administrative Language Settings and set your 'language for non-unicode programs' to JP.

Here are some errors people have been getting. First, if the game gives you an error when you try to click the 'coe' application and won't open it, install the RTP and try again. It should be in Japanese, but if you see garbled text you've likely extracted in the wrong locale.
