continuing on with more that I missed from 2025; huge, joyous fire music here! Not super deep into her discog but she's opening for Courtney Barnett at a big ol 5k cap venue in town soon, and I really hope she gets incendiary as she does here https://t.co/uZ76JR6rSB

Haven't had a ton of time to spin for the last few days so I'm still pouring through some Towner Tracks, this morning with this gorgeous, dense, twisty one - what a cast of characters on here too, Wheeler of course adding another chunk of glorious melodrama to the happenings

Continuing on the Towner train today - don't think I've actually listened to this one before, but it's getting at my favorite Solstice-ey kind of Towner writing, strange complex guitar movement with a steady, vibrating drone underneath. Gorgeous!

Ralph Towner man, what can you even say. A total wunderkind of guitar exploration and compositional beauty

now Swooning; another one I listened to once years ago and am overjoyed to be revisiting now, deftly swinging between extended technique and beautiful melodies

now Shredding; my dad (a drummer) has been singing the praises of this one to me for years, and what a total joy it is! Groovy, pulsing, twinkling and *loud*, a beautiful thing to wake up with!

poking into some Glass that I haven't heard before: this one isn't sticking as well as I wish it was, I think a victim of 80s production and brass FM synth patches, but I'm always happy to listen to some bouncing arpeggios!

poking into this new Mary Lattimore/Juliana Barwick joint - it's nice! https://t.co/m4uyErpa5r

now Pulsing; I think I half listened to this at work a number of years ago but it's keeping me particularly good company on this snowy bus ride, a gentle heartbeat in the liquidey universe that also happens to just straight up bang

now Shredding; continuing to play catch up with last year's records, really dug this squads first joint and this one is just as deafening in its holiness

My meaner take on the whole OBAA discourse is that a lot of Online Leftists probably want to see themselves as Perfida or Sensei and they hate having a mirror held up to them revealing that they're Comrade Josh

now Floating; I'm usually not one to reach for poppier stuff unless it's this exact kind of jangle jam harmony fest, which I adore to no end. Another missed 2025 joint that I'm happy to make friends with here in the new year!

now Swooning; been a while since I've spent some good time with Radigues music, and even longer since I've sat with this piece specifically, a particularly spectacular one that leads in shocking (gorgeous) directions
