This point really needs to be emphasised. Strong oral language skills are an enormous asset for reading but do not in themselves turn a good talker into a good reader. High quality instruction does that. Oral language = biologically primary. Reading = biologically secondary.

Work on language comprehension at their thinking level.Ultimately,dyslexics will be able to read text on their own-but until then,make comprehension a “print-less” activity.Keep them intellectually engaged,learning vocab. & not guessing at words they can’t decode. #ogwinter2021.
