A group from CAC visited @FPConservatory today! They loved seeing the titan arum, otherwise known as the “corpse flower” because it only blooms for a few days and then collapses! 😊 #InspiringLifeJourneys

The @FPConservatory corpse flower bloomed this week, unleashing its notorious rotting-flesh scent. Before you take in the sights and smells of this rare horticultural moment, check out our story from 2020 on the notorious plant, known as "Bob Smellanor."

The putrid-smelling plant drew crowds to the venue to witness a bloom nearly a decade in the making.

Pretty cool. Doesn't happen very often. #WeKnowWhoDealtIt.
The flower started collapsing on Tuesday evening, July 18, and the spadix stood back up overnight this morning. We expect a collapse tonight or tomorrow morning. We started a time-lapse yesterday afternoon to grab footage of the collapse.
