Interesting days in #Madrid: We discussed strategies against far-right narratives together with progressive deputies from the EU, I got to know the work of our office in #Spain 🇪🇦 and of @FES_Democracy better and I also saw one of Europe's most beautiful Parliaments. :)

What an exciting way to finish my very first day in my new role. Participated in a great event on 50 years of Transición and had a chance to see the exhibition "España en Libertad. 50 Años" at the Spanish Embassy in Berlin and learn more about the Spanish fight for democracy 🇪🇦🇪🇺

Today in Vilnius, we welcomed heroes freed after years of torture in KGB prisons. Thanks to tireless 🇺🇸 efforts & unwavering 🇪🇺 support, they’re no longer behind bars, though forced into exile. Now we must help them heal—and keep fighting for those still imprisoned.

Took this 5 years ago when I had just moved to #Kyiv. Today is my last day in #Ukraine - and my 35th birthday. Not a coincidence that I am spending it here. Дякую! 🇺🇦

Today I spoke for the very last time on a panel about the situation in #Belarus. Time to move on after 5 years as the Belarus Representative of @FESonline soon. I witnessed the darkest, yet also the most inspiring period of the modern history of independent #Belarus. Дзякуй!

According to the @ituc Global Rights Index, Belarus ranks among the 10 worst countries for workers in 2025. The regime systematically persecutes workers and independent trade unions. Since 2020, union leaders have been jailed (29 activists remain imprisoned) and unions dissolved.
