Devastating news ….. an absolute legend, privileged to have known and played against him. Thoughts are with you all and especially all his family ….. so sad 😢😢
@formbycricket
Awful, awful news! An absolute giant of the game locally and nationally. His achievements on the pitch will not be matched and his hospitality off the pitch matched the legendary status of the man himself. Will leave a massive hole for all who played with and against him.

Oh goodness… what horrific news. Loved spending time with him and catching up when I was up in July.
Just awful, so, so sad. Please send my condolences to all at Formby.

Terrible news, I was there at Southport in '82 when he hit his FC high score and he was at the heart of the Liverpool Competition for many years. Big supporter of the game in oh so many ways and a lovable bloke to boot. A great loss to all, still watched his kids as a dad would
