Yesterday I saw a PL team referee the game. In the first half they awarded themselves 3 free kicks (picking the ball up before FK awarded), demanded game be stopped for one of their players down. In 2nd they insisted the ref change his own mind & award a penalty. Pure corruption

Everton & Leicester are the first two clubs to be screwed by the FFP rules that essentially prohibit competition. They both had a go, Leicester had success but ultimately couldn’t buy their way out of trouble due to FFP. Everton got lucky there were 3 worse. More will suffer soon

For me one of the moments of today was when Iwobi closed down the LB, then the CB and then sprinted 60 yards (past DCL in the process) to help Mykolenko defend against the RM. Absolutely outstanding that and something that Goodison loves ….

Anyway, I’m lucky enough to have seen us win leagues, fa cups & IN Europe, by that I mean SEEN, not just clapped at a tv. I tell you, last night is up there with them all that was absolutely incredible. We may not be very good anymore but I’ll always be grateful for being blue 💙
