Whilst fish poaching has a high conviction rate, it has the lowest average fine at just £349 - the lowest of any wildlife crime. We’re pleased to see our call for tougher penalties for fish crime reflected in the Natural Environment Bill Stage 1 report.

Following an escape of approx 75,000 salmon at Mowi Scotland’s Gorsten fish farm, we're asking anglers to support recapture efforts in Lochaber & report salmon caught. This was a result of severe weather conditions brought by Storm Amy. More information at https://t.co/vSF7ElG4Xm

In the early 1980s, Atlantic salmon made a remarkable return to Scotland's River Clyde after a century of local extinction. Improved water quality & pollution control were key drivers. Now, 40 years on, salmon have regained 30%-50% of their range. https://t.co/9GEVIKCPCO 🐟
