I'm sick and tired of seeing people stay willfully ignorant and in denial about this, especially as someone who has a polyamorous yumeship myself. I may not speak for everyone, but I'm sure at least some people share my frustration.

Again, I am in no way judgemental towards the trope itself. I simply hate the fact that people claim one thing despite meaning another. And, yes, I know [hate] is a strong word, but I really do hate it. Why can't people just say things as it is?

Now, unless your poly yumeship applies the parallel system in which the different partners would rather not know the details of one another, I really don't see how having multiple oshis "fighting over" or "pursuing" your oc is not just a (reverse) harem.

It is not easy to navigate a relationship that involves multiple people. There needs to be constant communication based on trust, honesty, and respect. Power dynamic is also an important part that needs to be considered within this type of relationship.

Polyamorous relationship requires a huge amount of effort and consideration between all the parties involved, as well as having an established system within the relationship to make sure all the parties are consenting to the dynamic of the relationship.

I'm sick of people claiming their harem yumeships as polyamorous. I don't even have anything against (reverse) harem. In fact, I support it, genuinely. It just really rubs me the wrong way when those whose ships are clearly harem try to pass them off as poly.
