Fooatingcapy is doing well with social media detox. Coming back to have a peek at whats said here makes more sense that we are producing unhappy degens. Everyone is susceptible to social media. Its an addiction. And its not that easy to escape. Not as simple as touching grass.

Ordinals went from a platform of experimentation and innovation to a platform of people mainly trying to reinvent memes, and rehash the old pfp stuff. This is the state of "main stream" ordinals right now, and I feel this is not going to end well in the medium term. At the

#NATs and #uNATs are the only hope I see at the moment to attract the other important crowd to bitcoin, not the degens and meme coiners, but the people who appreciate technical innovation and art. @TheBlockRunner @dmtnatcats

The only exception is X. Because I need X for my investing. I now practice to stay away from my feed and use lists. I try only using feed when I can’t find info in my lists.

I am my social media feed, and my social media feed is me. ~ the most invisible influence in our modern times that drives society. Which is why I left social media, the tools are too powerful, created by the smartest minds. I can’t win that.

11/ Remember if meme coins drive you crazy, it's okay to step away from it. It might not be your type of investment that you can play in. Most meme coin influencers who make a big buck are the ones that understand it and are most likely (E). You don't need to invest an arena

10/ So when some people say meme coins do not have value, they are correct because it has no value to them. But when we look at all the people as a whole, meme coins do have value for many people. That's the confusion.

9/ For emotional people the value is that meme coins are fun and gives a good feeling. It also connects them to other people who are posting about it. That's the value to them.

8/ While developers are more attracted to coins that have functionality, because they are mostly (Physical) people. Physical people like detail and like to understand the goal of something. Which is why it's very hard for (P) people to understand meme coins because to them there

7/ You will see many common crypto users, who are mainly from the united states by the way, love meme coins, while developers, hate meme coins so to say. Meme coins are about feeling and fun, these naturally attract (E) people, which are mostly the common crypto users.

6/ Borrowing from human dynamics, I learned that humans have broadly 3 different ways in which they give value to something. (Mental) - overall impact in the environment (world) (Emotional) - how does it make me and other feels? (Physical) - what is the functionality?

5/ Looking at other meme coins such as $SHIB and $WIF these are now in the billions of dollars in market cap. This can't also be ignored. And if people do, again they probably should look within themselves.

4/ Whether or not you think memecoins don't have value, it's hard to ignore these stats. If people do then it's not the problem of the meme coin, but probably their belief system.

3/ If we take doge coin as an example, we can see it has retained value since its inception in 2013. In the beginning of 2021 it can began to pop off and has since then retained its value.

2/ If we look at the reality, there are two metrics we can use to look whether something has value, and whether it has retained value over a long time. That is market cap and time.

1/ Why is it that some people see value in these coins that are made as a joke, and some people don't see it at all? I was once in the camp of seeing no value at all in meme coins, until I expanded my view as an investor and I learned about human dynamics. Let's break both down.

One thing I often hear is that memes coins don't have value. And some people say that meme coins do have value but only a few will be big. So do meme coins have value? The short answer is yes, but it depends on who you ask. 🧵

Thought provoking post about art and social media! My addition: the art world doesn’t fit with the capitalistic world in which artists have to learn how to make money and market themselves on socials and more.

Social media and art don't blend quite well. Social media rewards viralization. Art chases one heart at a time.

How long do you think it will take before the bitcoin fees go down again to normal levels? Time is counted from the moment of the halving.
