I started Amazon FBA back in 2019 and failed to find success for the first 1.5 years.
This was mainly due to not being able to sell big brands because Amazon gating them to new sellers
Luckily that's easy to get around now.
In terms of getting going, here is the
#4
step process
#1
- Open an Amazon seller account ($40/mo), pretty simple, can be done in an hour and then a few days for Amazon to verify you.
#3
- Learn the basics.
Binge my Youtube videos (Flips4Miles) listen to Buy Box Bandits podcast, and start scanning anything you see with a barcode on the SellerAmp app
Start learning about sales rank, keepa charts, and ungating.
Focus on reverse sourcing to start with SellerAmp.
Understand this is all really simple and if you took a few hours you could get a lot of the basics down pat.
#4
- Start sending items to Amazon and selling through (Learned via Youtube)
The point is to get through the basics ASAP (a few weeks) and learn the processes.
I stick to big-name brands due to their wide catalogs and how they are carried on tons of different websites.
Nike, LEGO, Adidas, etc.
Coupons make a big difference too.
You only have to learn them once, now it's time to grow.
Before you know it Q4 will right around the corner and there is sooooooo much opportunity.
Let's get after it.
