Just finished a #dataviz project looking at average monthly temperatures over time for the largest American cities. I was surprised at how much double encoding the data with color really brings out how weather patterns differ throughout the country.

I'm excited to announce two new calls for submissions to follow-up volumes in the Do No Harm Project from the @urbaninstitute. We are looking to extend the work on creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable data and data visualization practices. 1/3

It was an honor to contribute to @DataScixDesign 's The Future of Data Science anthology. I really enjoyed writing about how we made the Do No Harm Guide and hope that it reminds everyone of the importance of applying an equity lens to how we visualize and communicate data!

It's been a while since I've done a #dataviz side project but I was feeling inspired by an idea and made these posters visualizing what parts of a piano keyboard are played the most in famous classical music pieces. I always love how much I learn from these sorts of projects!
