Just finished a #dataviz project looking at average monthly temperatures over time for the largest American cities. I was surprised at how much double encoding the data with color really brings out how weather patterns differ throughout the country.

It was an honor to contribute to @DataScixDesign 's The Future of Data Science anthology. I really enjoyed writing about how we made the Do No Harm Guide and hope that it reminds everyone of the importance of applying an equity lens to how we visualize and communicate data!

Had a great time working on this data story with the amazing @data4change team! Internet access is an essential human right that can't be taken for granted.
When @AbiyAhmedAli came into power he set out to make #Ethiopia a digital powerhouse by 2025, but so far he's failing. Explore the reasons why in the latest #dataviz story we did with @CARDEthiopia >> https://t.co/hUeLvdbsRV

It's been a while since I've done a #dataviz side project but I was feeling inspired by an idea and made these posters visualizing what parts of a piano keyboard are played the most in famous classical music pieces. I always love how much I learn from these sorts of projects!

Really excited to see our work appear on @Forbes ! Hope people will remember that data reflect the lives of real people and keep that in mind as they design their analyses and visualizations to do no harm.

This is a really critical point!
@connjie @nprviz 9. So be sure to read tweets and headlines about the new census data with a critical eye because race/ethnicity is complicated and always changing. https://t.co/K4vpHI2VCF
