The only expectation is that the manager gives the team he puts out a good chance of being competitive. Not sure there's even been a game this season where fans have expected a win. Needs to focus on getting good performances instead of patronising the fanbase.
๐ฉ๐ช๐ฌ Daniel Farke | Manager says Leeds United fans are the best, perhaps a bit demanding ๐ฌ "The expectation is that if weโre playing in the Premier League, we need to win a title and want to play in Europe. That has nothing to do with reality." https://t.co/sewRFrETrE

Without a stadium filled by this "emotional fanbase" he can't get the team to play with any intensity. Needs to look at himself instead of talking about the fans or refs.
DF: "Fanbase is very, very emotional. Everyone doubts us after every loss. Everyone has the right to be critical because we have conceded too many goals in the last two games. We could have made our lives easier, for sure. I didn't expect a smooth, easy ride this season." #lufc

He left in a season where a 17 year old started 44 games for us btw.

You can't just write it off as going wrong in the attacking box when this is who you're giving the responsibility of taking chances to. Got to be more creative with the team selection with the injuries we had.
Farke: "Went wrong in both boxes. Cannot have better stats than we did away from home today. Possession, shots, big chances, xG, corners. Even when Arsenal, Man City et al come here they will not repeat that." #lufc

Our other wide options: - Okafor (injury doubt) - James (injured) - Aaronson (played on a different continent midweek) - Harrison Even if you think Gnonto's bang average and down the pecking order you have to be thick to not mind losing an option there right now.

Aaronson offers a lot more defensively than your average winger including stuff stats won't pick up like cutting out passing options but we don't need to pretend our other options there don't pull their weight. He's done alright recently but he has to do so much more in attack.
Aaronson continues to draw a blank in attack, but Farke rates his defensive reliability. It turns out he's more effective than all but one of the Premier League's att midfielders/wingers. Does he keep out Gnonto and James over the weeks ahead? #lufc

You'd think Farke wasn't happy with Okafor from that quote but he had more to say and it came across that he's happy with his overall performance even if there's some stuff he thinks he can improve on.
DF on Okafor: โWith his back to goal he has to be a bit stronger. His success rate in his dribbling has to be better. In terms of being a goal threat he has stepped up but he must keep the ball better. Needs to find better times to take risks.โ #LUFC

Our striker is 2nd in the list, maybe we should put in some crosses.
There are plenty of ways to cross a football โ perhaps it's time to give the lesser-heralded near-post delivery some love? @MarkCarey93 analyses the experts at doing it, and the players who love darting in and profiting. ๐ https://t.co/ZuaeLHmE6F

Farke's done well to set up the defence and midfield to be solid and keep games competitive but he needs to use that as a platform for the attackers to bring quality. You don't need to add the industry of the likes of Aaronson and Harrison, give teams something to worry about.

Maybe start the one winger still here from that season who wasn't called hopeless then
DF: "James, Harrison, Aaronson with us when we were relegated and they were called hopeless. They still have a point to prove these judgments are not right. We have this type of offensive players and I'm looking forward to improving them, but we shouldn't expect miracles." #lufc

- Farke should've admitted he got it wrong vs Arsenal. - Evans shouldn't pretend we ticked every box after missing out on Wilson. Fans would accept things more if the club took some accountability. Hard to trust them when they're saying stuff that's at odds with what we've seen

Now the window's done hindsight makes spending ยฃ18m on Okafor and loaning Largie look a mistake. That money should've been put towards the difference making RW if funds were limited. Much easier to make do with Gnonto, Largie and Harrison at LW than the current RW options.

Very Leeds that the player we loaned out to make space for a new RW ends up making an instant impact from RW while we've just missed out on the player we wanted.

- Went off around 60 mins 5 times - Played more minutes per start than any of our main attackers last season - completed more matches than any of them - only Aaronson started more games Fitness worries are overblown but he's not the RW signing we need. Hopefully we can do both.
Boring that Leeds seem and the fans are more than happy to sign Hamer. Don't get me wrong he's a talented player but how many times did he go off last season around the 60th minute? He's not fit enough and would be a poor signing just for that. Hamer isn't good enough. #LUFC

This is like looking out the window to see it's chucking it down then not bothering with an umbrella because it was sunny the last few days and wondering how you got soaked.
DF: "After you lose a game (Arsenal), you would change everything. Decisions we took before the game, I would do same again. This group played well against Villarreal, Milan and Everton. If you change this, everyone would question why he is going away from winning formula." #lufc

Not Farke out but he's making it hard not to be. As a manager you have to be ready to adapt to give yourself the best chance depending on your opposition. If it was such a winning formula he wouldn't have spent the last week or 2 saying the attack isn't good enough.

Farke's got a decent amount of harsh criticism during his time here but one thing that can't be excused are his persistent excuses and deflection of accountability on himself. He's always got something to blame instead of having some self awareness about what he can improve on.
Itโs not like we played a U21 side. Especially when they have Barry Bannon taking the penaltyโ He came on in the 81st minute ๐

RW is absolutely a must and Bakwa adds quality but I can't shake the feeling the RW has to be able to play as a 10 comfortably. The 4-3-3's a great plan A but if we need to add threat and switch back to last season's 4-2-3-1 the only current natural 10 is BA which isn't enough.
Would like if Leeds went for Bakwa now. Wasn't too keen earlier because Bakwa x Gnonto lacks last line threat. But those 2 + Okafor and DJ gives you a good array of qualities on both sides of the pitch. And I think a creative from the right flank would add a lot. #LUFC
