Our team proudly supported the first licensed wild beaver release in the country, as beavers left our facility at Five Sisters Zoo and were released at Little Sea in Purbeck, Dorset, in partnership with @BeaverTrust and @nationaltrust.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of many compassionate individuals, Luna and Plusza are now safe and preparing for their journey to Scotland. We can't wait to welcome them to FSZ, where they will finally have the permanent home they deserve after such a challenging journey.

These sisters were evacuated from a private owner in Eastern Ukraine during the heavy bombing of the region in 2022. After receiving urgent medical care at a shelter in Kyiv, they were relocated to Poznan Zoo before making their way to Natuurhulpcentrum Opglabbeek in Belgium.
