This is a massive constant problem in healthcare.
My 90 yo mom is one week postop hip fracture. Still in hospital. Waiting on “insurance” to approve her acute inpatient rehab. “Insurance” is not insurance; it is gatekeepers, rationers, profiteers, henchmen if need be that we are mandated to buy; patient well-being be damned.
