Update 8:12PM: The head of the fire off Eastern side has been stopped. Forward progress on the western side has also been halted. Crews will remain on scene through the night. Current evacuations are still in place. The public is encouraged to continue to avoid the area.

Cold Springs Fire Update 5:42PM:. 1 confirmed structure lost. 15-30 structures threatened. Estimated acreage at 4,000 acres.

Command post is set at station 25. We ask that people stay out of the area and please don’t fly drones. We have inbound air resources. A fixed wing airplane is here out of Wenatchee . 1 helicopter and 2 scoopers are on the way. 2 task forces are on the way from OSFM.

UCFD#1 is on scene of the cold springs fire. At the time we have lost 1 confirmed residence. We have 15 - 30 structures, out buildings and shops threatened. The fire is around 4,000 acres currently. We have level 1, 2, and 3 evacs in place.

UCFD#1 is currently on-scene of a hazmat tractor trailer fire in the Bensel road area of Hermiston. Mutual aid is on scene. Please avoid the area. Updates will be provided as they become available

Burning Season is now closed within UCFD#1! . Outdoor burning is prohibited within the District's service area. No burning will be permitted between June 1st-September 30th. Burning will reopen October 1st, 2025. For more information, visit:

UPDATE 6:44PM: Fire is contained. Crews will remain on scene in mop-up. At this time, acres burned estimated at 100 acres.

UCFD#1 is on-scene of a brush fire, in the Lilac Lane area of Hermiston. Firefighters are engaged in structural protection, with mutual aid in effect. High winds continue to be a challenge. Updates will be provided as they become available.
