Join us for our workshop on participation and accessibility with and for AR/VR at #MuC2022! Deadline for submissions is July 15.

For future designs, we recommend identifying individual interaction patterns and matching learning modalities, e.g. with a human-in-the-loop approach based on modelled interaction.

This second approach achieved very high compliance rates (87%) for auditory learning.

Therefore, in a second approach, we leveraged device interactions that indicated readiness to engage with the device as a trigger: we sent reminders when learners plugged in their headphones.

In a first approach, we sent reminders in gaps in a learner’s agenda but found that learners frequently snoozed notifications and did not learn more frequently than with daily reminders at a fixed time.

Motivated by the low engagement rates in mobiles learning, we set out to identify suitable moments where learners are available and ready to engage.
