Got the full chaotic gore layered armor set. I think it’s safe to say this is my favorite monster in the series.
Genuinely shocked i beat chaotic gore magala so easily. He really felt like a “you’re not supposed to fight this guy yet” boss and i managed to beat him without triple carting.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Takes longer than I’d like to get to the good stuff, but oh MAN. Once you get there it’s peak. I’ll be coming back to this one for a long while. In the meantime, I think I can call Shagaru Magala my current favorite monster. I want Fiorayne carnally

My honest guess for FRIEND is that it’s Flowey But Not Really, in the same way Ralsei is Asriel But Not Really. Already, it seems to behave similar to Flowey, occasionally watching you and vanishing. If FRIEND shows up in the flower shop, then there could be a greater connection.
@finalgigan I agree with all of these, but I would expand FRIEND's importance even further; that fuckass cat is going to be behind EVERYTHING (not just Dess's disappearance), mark my words.
