[3/4] we launch a new testnet which will be (stress)tested more broadly together with community projects. Once we are happy with the stability of the network we will open up the testnet for everyone to start experimenting. .

[2/4] resulting in several new minor releases over the last weeks. Last Friday we did a team-wide test running and maintaining a multi-validator cluster which we completed successfully. With the findings from this test we want to do a couple of small fixes before. .

[1/4] WEN ShimmerEVM? Since the last update the IOTA Smart Contracts team has been improving the Wasp node to get it into a state where we can confidently launch a ShimmerEVM testnet. We've spent a lot of time on testing (manually/automated) and improvements. .

In 2023 we'll work towards a release candidate for Shimmer and intensive testing so we can launch a public chain with confidence later on. Happy Holidays all! #IOTA.

We've been pretty quiet lately, but hard at work improving IOTA Smart Contracts to a great extent. Today we have released a new (not backward compatible) test version with a fully rewritten consensus module, historical state support enabling indexer/explorer support, .

A big shoutout to the whole ISC Team working tirelessly on this for months on end and everyone inside and outside of the IF for their contributions, it has been a massive effort so far but we're only just getting started. <3.
