Yes you work in tech, but never stop living your life. Take a class. Develop a hobby. Attend events. Meet people. You are only interesting as the depths of your own interests. Never forget that 👌🏼

Do all of these without expectation. Not everyone would immediately click with you. And the reason to warm up to strangers is because simply creating connections with other people will improve your life. All you have to do is go first!!!!.

Ask them what they ordered. Ask them what they are reading. People love to talk about themselves. (Got this tip from a book I was reading called “how to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere” written by Larry King). Smile and say hello to anyone you meet. Be approachable and warm.

People love compliments because they feel seen and appreciated. Plus it’s a great way to intiate a conversation without feeling weird. (But please do it from a genuine place of admiration for that thing 🙏🏽). Don’t say you love their shoe when you clearly don’t 🙄.
