issued this statement today. The policy was updated by an ad hoc committee the day before this latest protest at Dunn Meadow began. It changed a long-standing rule regarding temporary structures at Dunn Meadow, a designated assembly ground.
IU encourages and respects free speech, including the right to peacefully protest and demonstrate.

On my way back from the office, I drove past the parking lot at Second Street and Woodscrest Drive where earlier there were what looked like at least a few dozen state police vehicles parked. I saw just two parked, and one driving toward me on the opposite side of the road.
