I call upon all women who are stewards of the land, who are strong advocates for women's empowerment, and who are key ingredients in the development of the rural communities to stand up and to come into elective politics to bring about the key issues of women. @felixdoo #IDRW

This day is not usually celebrated like the National Days, i.e., Independence Day. One of the key assignments for us is to make sure that this day becomes nationally celebrated in Uganda. If we have collective action for a collective future, then we will see more women standing.

We wouldn’t be here if the German gov’t didn’t facilitate us. Another lesson for us from Kenya, Uganda, & East Africa is that we need to advocate for our governments such that an occasion like this is bankrolled by the government because it is very important to acknowledge this.
