I think Gen Z's issue is simply that every generation reacts negatively to the prior one thats fed to them. So Gen Z reacts to Millennial culture around consent, feminism, hookup culture etc. not knowing of the conservative culture that brought it about in the first place.

Talking to Gen Z undergrads i was rather blown away by how reactionary against the ultra progressive Millennial culture they were. Especially this contempt of hookup culture which girls kept saying felt forced on them and then open slut shaming and stuff.

@felicia_hart13 @IDoTheThinking me and my friends are some of the most progressive on nearly every issue politically yet we’ve all separately come to the conclusion that hookup culture mentality tends to cause a lot of harm, i think it’s more complex than you’re giving it credit for
