Key to ‘regreening Madagascar’ is identifying the right places for reforestation. Delighted to join the launch of a @KewScience project working to do just that - & the first in #Madagascar to be supported by the new 🇬🇧-funded Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate, @gcbc_org.

While not in school, this 12-year-old cattle herder wears a traditional woven reed gilet to protect him from the rain, has a wooden stick to help him walk through deep mud, and holds a catapult used to ward off birds from the rice fields.
