Students in Vandergriff’s GT program took a field trip to Washington Regional to explore neurology, the brain, and the nervous system. As part of their GT curriculum, this visit gave them the opportunity to see real-world connections to what they are learning in the classroom.

Students at FHS took creativity to new heights this week during their "Out of the World" Project Runway! This student-led fashion showcase challenges teams to design wearable looks using only unconventional materials, no fabric or typical clothing items allowed.

Students in Mr. Bowers’ class have been exploring how the structures of living things help them survive and thrive. They got an up-close look at homing pigeons, examining the birds’ beaks, wings, and feet while discussing how each feature helps them adapt and survive!

The Arkansas SkyDome Planetarium brought the wonders of space to Holt Middle School 5th graders! Inside the giant inflatable dome, students explored the Moon’s surface, identified constellations, and discovered fascinating facts about planets, stars, and galaxies.

October is National Farm to School Month, and we’re celebrating with our Local Harvest Lunch tomorrow! Our talented FPS Child Nutrition Dept is creating and serving a delicious, locally sourced meal made with fresh ingredients from farms and small businesses right here in NWA.

FHS 9th and 11th grade students took part in FHS Serves this week, spending the day giving back to our community through a variety of service projects across the area. Their efforts made a meaningful impact and reflect our ongoing commitment to service learning.

FPS was thrilled to welcome award-winning author Laurie Halse Anderson as part of the Blair Lecture Series, made possible through our annual partnership with the Fayetteville Public Library and the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation.💜

Holt Middle School students powered up their learning with help from the FPS Maintenance Department! Staff from electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, shared their expertise and real-world experiences, giving students an inside look at the important work they do.
