Anas ibn Mālik (رضي الله عنه) reported: The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: طَلَبُ الْعِلْمِ فَرِيضَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim. {Sunan Ibn Mājah 224}
