An elaboration on this thread: let's talk about the Yanda campaigns, beginning with the first one: the 1983 initial campaign by Deng Xiaoping (Src 1)
By Chinese ‘crime crackdown’ I mean the PLA surrounding cities and going house to house arresting > a million people and executing tens of thousands

bureaucratic entities you interact with that it becomes nigh-impossible to rectify the immediacy of the stress one experiences with the nature of the threat.

your body is designed to be a remarkably powerful threat detection machine capable of analyzing and evaluating both immediate threats (tigers) and long-term threats (famine). but the *nature* of modern stress is so distributed across the complicated network of faceless

Modern life is incredibly grinding in a way life didn’t used to be because (presuming you are a person of reasonable intelligence) you are perpetually moderately stressed but with *no perceptible, direct threat* - it’s this latter part that makes it so unbearable.

Early Christian art (at least that which survives) tends to heavily emphasize a youthful Christ and focus far more on the ‘shepherd’ motif.

Contrast, once again, with one of the earliest known depictions of Christ - here depicted not crucified at all but instead as a beardless shepherd (note the sheep on his shoulders while the goats remain on the ground)
Contrast with Tiepolo’s Crucifixion - Christ is obviously in pain, but he is displayed in a distinctly regal way. His face is shadowed, emphasizing the halo-crown. He is placed ‘above’ and ‘behind’ an audience.

The Man of Sorrows by Giambono is one of my favorite depictions of Christ. the Medieval style was far more brutal in its depiction of the crucifixion (vs the Renaissance) - Christ is in true agony, a suffering figure.

The prominence of his stomach (‘womb’) is a deliberate inclusion and a common feature of these paintings. Christ is often given subtle feminine qualities (his wound sometimes given Yonic qualities or his blood being contrasted with breast milk).

She was 21 years old and that propaganda campaign was so vociferous it would make Stalin blush. Doing anything other than going with the flow ostracized you from all your social connections during lockdowns. We gotta give regular people a pass on this, it's not their fault

Didn’t know what a proshipper was so spent 10 minutes googling. Apparently the Goyim have very serious and intense debates online (including doxxing and death threats) about whether it’s okay to write fanfiction about, e.g. incest.

I'm perfectly happy to blame free markets and financialization when they're actually at fault, but France is hardly an example of privileging them. French govt spending as % of GDP (57%) is second-highest in the world and almost double China (33%).
theory that the reason these miterrand era france reels are so popular is that china is setting standards now and more people are wondering why they ever privileged free markets and financialization so much over having a competitive high modernist engineering state

When you look at '23,000 lives saved because of lockdown', there are about 25% of population who can keenly visualise the effects of the billions in taxes forced upon future generations to pay for this; careers stagnated, youth lost, marriages unconsummated, unborn children...

France’s top military commander has issued a stark warning: “Prepare yourselves. In 3–4 years, war could begin. And we must be ready to sacrifice our children.” Speaking on national resilience, he stressed that defending the country will mean painful choices, lives lost, economic

Poetry and lawgiving are the highest art forms. Mastery over the ability to transform and reshape men is the highest aesthetic endeavor. Political science is the greatest form of civilizational aesthetics and its effects take jurisprudence over all others.
Industry and science is the only real art form. Mastery over the ability to transform and reshape atoms is the highest aesthetic endeavor. Production science is the greatest form of civilizational aesthetics and it's effects take jurisprudence over all others.
