Club Champs prep week in full swing with an unexpected and welcome 1mm of rain this morning. Big challenges with moisture this year, but the team have worked so hard to keep the surfaces in great shape with just 66mm since 1st March @SouthwickParkGC

Getting toastie now on the south coast and dodged the rain again this morning, but on with the refinement work ahead of Club Champs. Another dusting on greens with a weekend of recovery planned before an increase in temps again next week🥵 @SouthwickParkGC

Satisfying changing holes these days seeing the fruits of our labour and the agronomic improvement over the last 10 years. Greens I inherited with excessive thatch, minimal aeration & top dressing that were prone to disease and waterlogging. On going, but a good job thus far 💪

Temps on the up and an increase in HOC on greens to help take some stress off the plant. beautiful early morning scenes across the course to apply, and water in, a wetter/seaweed mix behind another sarel roll @SouthwickParkGC 😎

Another @sportsmetals brush added to the fleet, making a difference to the playing surfaces. Switching between greens, tees and apps on the @baronessuk LM315, leaving them sharp, tight and glowing in today's sun @SouthwickParkGC 😎

Full treatment on greens ahead of some nasty looking weather tomorrow ⛈️. 10mm solid tine to 80mm depth @SteelmasterUK followed by a brush, cut and roll to smooth it all over @baronessuk @AgriMetal_US @SouthwickParkGC

Greens have had an extra period of recovery after the double tine and heavy dress during reno's week, which is showing well in the profile, and this current dry spell. A HOC reduction and slowly working them harder now starting with double v-cut and cut 😎 @SouthwickParkGC

What a beautiful week, and what a shift from the team to dial all surfaces and edge bunkers ahead of the bank hol. Apps tight, new turf around new bunkers growing like mad and greens thickening and performing well after their tough, dry start to the spring @SouthwickParkGC 😎

Great end to the week to get the six new bunkers across holes 4 & 12 sanded and finally complete all our winter projects. Another huge effort from my team again, which started back in Sept with fairway drainage, to further improve the course all round 💪 @SouthwickParkGC

Including the 12th rebuild, the team upgraded three tees ready for this season as part of our irrigation improvement program. A welcome 10mm of rain this week, but the new pumps and sprinklers all working well and certainly getting some usage right now @SouthwickParkGC

What a tough spring, but rolling into the Easter break in fine shape. 6.5mm of rain in 50 days and no irrigation until last week, leaving worrying moisture levels in greens. amazing what bouncebackability the plant has with some TLC and finally some water @SouthwickParkGC

Later than I would have liked with the current dry conditions, but 550m² of RTF slowly bedding in around our new bunkers and pathways. Lots of hand watering right now, but looking forward to seeing the fescue establishment around the bunker edges and banks @SouthwickParkGC
