Important meeting with young advocates at the Youth Rights Academy, hosted by my Office with Education Above All @EAA_Foundation. The passion and activism of young leaders is not just inspiring — it is the clearest hope for a just and peaceful world.

Grateful for the opportunity to present a research paper I co-authored with @fairuz1510, titled “Decolonizing Genocide”. This research paper critically examines the persistent contestation of genocide and investigates media’s role in obstructing recognition.

I know Israelis are fine desecrating anything, but I can't emphasize how jarring it is that their bombing on Beirut yesterday damaged one of the oldest sacred cemeteries in the city. It's the final resting place of many old Beirut Sunni families, of Ottoman Pashas and governors.

You have to admire the @WashingtonPost editors, who show unmatched creativity in finding ways not to use the word “invasion” when discussing what Israel is doing to Lebanon right now. 🇱🇧

Western journalism has completely discarded accurate, factual terms like "ground invasion" in favor of softer language like "sends troops."

How do you ‘soften’ news of an invasion your government is funding and supporting? Call it anything other than what it is. As it has done every single day for 12 months straight, the U.S. news media puckers up and does exactly what it has been built and expected to do.

Incredible Bloomberg data visualization that clearly shows what’s actually going on between Israel and Lebanon. First, despite all the talk of the threat of Hezbollah rockets hitting Israel, it’s actually Israel that’s consistently firing far more rockets over the border.
