2/ You need to consider what happens if one of your users has their account compromised. In fact, it's not "if" but "when". In general, the solution is centralized: flagging stolen NFTs on your marketplace, providing a secondary web2 authentication…

The impact on you as a PM? 1/ Every time you can, emphasize security. "Use a hardware wallet", "We won't DM you first', "Never share your seed phrase"… Security matters a lot in web3

But the blessing is also a curse 🐸 If anyone can catch these 12 words, they can control your account in the same way you do. And again, you cannot change it. Nobody can.

It is magical because thanks to cryptography, you can recreate your account from scratch, just by knowing a 12 words phrase. On any computer. Without relying on any central authority. Magic ✨

Second, if you want to recover an account in web3, you need a seed phrase. There is no other way. But unlike a password, a seed phrase can never be changed. A seed phrase is like a magic spell that let you recover everything in crypto 🪄

In web2, if one of your users loses their password, it's easy: you send them an email to reset it. It doesn't work in web3. First, you don't have your users' emails.

2/ Signing with a crypto wallet can be dangerous. –> Some people have been scammed by signing malicious code, so power users either don't sign in on websites they don't know or use several wallets to mitigate the risks.
