Dear Kenyans, on 21st July 2025, @DCI_Kenya through @ODPP_KE made a Misc. Application seeking a Search Warrant against @rtunguru. This comes after Order issued against @DCI_Kenya to return the gadgets. Today, before Hon. Muteti we have obtained protection orders for @rtunguru.

Yesterday, I e-served a letter to the Chief Registrar @Kenyajudiciary, @ODPP_KE ,CR Chief Magistrate, & various stakeholders @LawSocietyofKe @katibainstitute et all demanding clarification. Today, I have been served with a certified digital copy of the Search Warrant.
On further due diligence, we have been successfully mapped on the CTS & I have to ask the @Kenyajudiciary. As per the CTS, this court order doesn't exist. The case is not mapped to any Judicial Officer. Who issued this court Order? How can I do a review of a non-verified Order?!!

The state is adamant in making @bonifacemwangi a political prisoner.I've been informed he is being arraigned at Kahawa Law Courts. He hasn't been processed. I expect a Custodial Application. Cc @WMutunga, @JamesKWaNjeri @NjanjaMaina @NjiruAdv @LawSocietyofKe @dkmaraga @husskhalid.
The @DCI_Kenya officers have placed @bonifacemwangi under arrest, bundled him into one of their cars KCQ 174 U and left with him. We’re following them to wherever they’re going.

Am looking at this court order, and I am at a loss of how a magistrate properly exercising his/her mind can allow such an application. None of those offences required a search unless they were going to search for property robbed and which in any case means they have no probable.
