For those not getting it, being a student-athlete is a club. And people show up for their club members when they do things. But even besides this, supporting Alix Earle, of all people, like this is crazy.

This is actually pretty embarrassing. It’s code to publicly support your fellow student-athletes especially AT YOUR SCHOOL. You should never be outwardly rooting against them. If they didn’t vote for her, fine, but don’t post a video to the internet saying that.

For those not understanding, it’s important for these dances to exist bc they are exposing a larger population to stuff the probably didn’t know. Everyone knows about Gene Kelly but not the Nicholas Brothers. If you think it’s divisive, you’re part of the problem.

See it was a stellar final four. But we still had JJD winning the dance marathon, the Trevor-Emma showmance, Jordin getting shafted, Vinny being the mid white guy of the season and unfortunately this was the only season where it would’ve been the correct final five.

I have seen TikTok call Jordan’s freestyle trashy and ghetto plus refer to it as not being considered dancing, Jordan being called cocky, and Normani being referred to as some random girl. Yeah Godspeed to all black women that has ever step foot on this show. #DWTS

This feels like my “too woke” take but the show has failed to protect the countless bw and woc that have received microaggressions from the fans. I’m glad they addressed it but I wish they’d done this much earlier and even had the chance to with Lauren and Jordan this season.

That is truly vile and should never be said to anyone. This is a silly little dance show and people should never be sad enough to speak so harshly on someone so kind. That being said, I am disappointed it took a white couple receiving hate for the show to finally address it.
