Ok. Here goes—my 🧵on what Trump 2.0 means for Israel-Palestine (& UK) and, ofc, domestically. TLDR: It's not the end of the world yet; worst immediate impact will be at home, not abroad; there are (razor-thin) silver linings; +learnable lessons to stall further rightward lurch.

Progressives tend to lose when defending their ideals means defending broken systems. They win when improving what matters most to people's lives. It's the lack of fairness & opportunity people are angry about. Fix that & we'll get the open, tolerant country I know we are.

I need an LLM that doesn’t act like a well behaved dog. Most of my issues with training models comes from that they’ve been trained to ‘please’ us. It should challenge more - within that dynamic lies excellence.

Just look at these WhatsApps from a private school parents group… If only the wealthy would mobilise this well to help others Not just themselves.

A water company released sewage into the stream that runs into the beach where we were holidaying. I didn’t like the idea of swimming in the sea after that, so I tried to sue to water company for spoiling our holiday. This is what happened… 1/21

Can anyone recommend their favourite working class (ideally funny) columnists? I'm always whinging about how there are no columnists who share my experiences and opinions but perhaps they do exist and I'm just not trying hard enough to find them

The Co-op is just the latest supermarket chain to mug their customers off with 2-tier pricing: Member price: old price, for which you now must sacrifice your privacy and reveal all your shopping habit data. Non-member price: new, higher price point. Inflation for non-members.

this wouldn’t be such a big deal. Brent council seems to delight in cutting back on services that demonstrate respect to residents and cause circumstances that are deleterious to the (codified!) quiet enjoyment of our environment.
