I wonder what the senior men’s team need to do to get sent if 2nd in Europe isn’t good enough. Especially seen as it’s 4 to score at worlds. 5 Irish athletes in the top 20 in Europe. Put Griggs in the mix as well to make an even better result.

400m final will be two separate races. How ridiculous is that. Seems like a backwards move. So two of the fastest people might be in two different races. How can this ever be a positive step?

What a debut. He said a few years ago he has no want to do a marathon. Well well….
turns out 6 days a week training and no alcohol for best part of 12 weeks equals a very comfortable marathon race ..paced sensibly to Castleknock and it just got better and better huge thanks to the best coach out there @ev_runs that was a perfect day and wingman @stoutmenow

I’d also add in horse racing Ireland into the mix. Between both greyhound and horse racing, they receive a combined total of €99.1m from the state.

2 yrs ago I blew a head gasket @RatoathAC half in the heat but a combination of new slippers 6 weeks no alcohol and mostly following @ev_runs brilliant training plan came away with a pb this yr ...the 3.30 Dcm goal posts have moved but how far ..6weeks to go enjoying every step

Behind every drug cheat is a story. This story has me on the fence. A single mother of 2 children. Before we cast any stones, I’d love to know how many of us would do the same thing to provide for our children. It’s not excusing the situation but it makes you think.

There was no chip or photo finish apart from the lad beside lane 8 with his phone. From this angle, who would you have given crossing the line first? Girl in lane 2 or girl in lane 1. Remember it’s first torso across the line. Not head, feet or arm.

Race 3 on the road to DCM the always brilliant kilcock 10mile and delighted to come away with a new race pb especially in that heat..took gels on earlier than normal at 4,8 and 12k and worked really well pace was steady throughout thanks to the boss @ev_runs 10weekstogo

9 miles (6.59 pace). Previously days like today would have meant consuming teaspoons of actual salt. Many people view CF as just a lung condition but it stems from a salt regulation problem. Since the new medication came around I now don’t need teaspoons of salt. #BeatCF

There’s a rule in Paralympics that one can’t improve by a certain % (I think 10%) as it might seem like they were cheating when they were first categorised per disability. This might be a good idea to introduce this outside of Paralympic. Some times this year makes no sense.
