The most beautiful gifts I’ve received from readers of my poems are poems. Since TAKE CARE, survivors of all genders have sent me poems after my own, their responses, their hopes. It’s the echolocation I desired in the last poem—all of us finding each other and speaking together.

My mom’s way of telling me she accepts me and my poems… she says if she wins the lottery I won’t ever have to be too tired from work to write poems because she’ll make sure with her $$$ all I’d get do is write & read poems every day 😭.
