@euler_mab the dead bodies havent come up to the surface yet for a lot of cefi<>defi "stablecoin" products and usde was harcoded on aave.. without that, if they used secondary market prices like binance, party was over yesterday

@euler_mab True but circuit breakers did have some part to play. ADL (not exactly a circuit breaker but similar kind of feature) helped exchanges stay solvent at the cost of closing positions/trades.

@euler_mab It did NOT work flawlessly. Lenders lost tons of their collateral to a fraud monster wick. The platforms should have protected their lenders´ assets and not liquidated them automatically. And they didn´t. Who´s going to lend anymore. Not me.

@euler_mab I always thought circuit breakers were a good thing. if they had stopped trading when atom fell from $4 to say $3, it might never have dropped to 0.001… perhaps a lot of guys with perps would not have been wiped out…. but what do I know. Maybe I’m wrong. @grok any insights ?

@euler_mab Disagree a little....study the chainlink LINK/USD price feed to aave. At the pico low, it lagged / paused for 2 minutes - due to price confusion and gas craziness. This is automatic and a feature. It balances speed vs safety.
