I did make this gun as a Film-Res model, so the triangle count and texture resolution is a little higher then for games.

Some messing around in UE5, cool to see the rifle in action. Yes I know that's the plasma pistol firing sound, I couldn't find the plasma rifle one.

I'm always trying to improve my textures with each model. I like to slowly buildup the different layers of rust, scratches, varnish, dust, and grime when creating convincing materials.
I'm a little ways into texturing the Plasma Rifle now, very pleased with how it's turning out!

Something about the Orange grill support behind the firing mechanism that I really like. not sure why they removed it in later games. I always imagined that's were the force to shoot the plasma came from
