so Fanon does not distinguish between good and bad forms of nationalism. he does, however, distinguish between nationalism, which is always defensive, reactionary, and contradictory, and national consciousness, which, along with national culture, is endlessly effaced in struggle.
Ehh there’s more to this. Fanon specifically speaks about the difference between white/imperial nationalism and revolutionary nationalism. The type of nationalism that bounds people together in a new vision for their society is good. The xenophobic, isolationist one is bad.
