Spent a fun evening at @ParchmntSwrdStn's SMITE, a collaborative, immersive murder mystery, set in Victorian London. The start felt a little overwhelming but it's well put together so we soon found our feet. Kept us busy for over two hours and had something for everyone.

Paris is packed full of fantastic escape rooms that showcase immersion, decoration and puzzles. Here are my recommendations from the 50+ games I've played in the French capital including specific recommendations for both families and scare enthusiasts.

A review of Funhouse and The Magician of Paris from Deep Inside in Paris, France. A beautiful pair of games. Great fun individually and oustanding together. They excel at immersion but there are also great puzzles, memorable moments and set.

My review of Fairytale Regulations from @pandore_escape . A beautifully-imagined fairytale game with big, bold, well-decorated sets and fun puzzles, where the immersion begins the moment you cross the threshold. If you're in Paris, well worth visiting.

I just completed all 25 days of Advent of Code 2021! #AdventOfCode . If you like programming and fancy a challenge then it's pretty cool. Warning: contains some fairly time intensive challenges. PS Merry Christmas!.

A review of Immaterium, the Warhammer 40k escape room from @escapologic in Nottingham. A physical, gritty but pretty escape room with fun, physical puzzles.

We visited @cryptologyrooms to play Daylight Robbery. It's a fantastic game that really manages to deliver a frantic feeling as you rush through a plethora of puzzles that cater to just about every taste. Definitely one to visit if you're in the area.

A review of Dreamscape at @cryptologyrooms in Nottingham. A fun-filled puzzle-packed game where even experienced enthusiasts are likely to get their money's worth with the variable challenge on offer.

Outside of my usual recommendations but if you're looking for something to do in London then I'd highly recommend Operation Mincemeat at the Southwark Playhouse. We went last night and it was fantastic - great songs, acting and comedy. Even my musical-disliking partner loved it.

Last weekend, I took part in the 2021 MIT Mystery Hunt. It was an amazing experience so I felt I had to write something about it. If you like hard puzzles, then it's definitely something you should try out!.
