We have election dates! We will have the opportunity to vote to form our union on April 9th and 10th, between 10am-2pm and 3pm-7pm each day, in the Levinson Student Center.

99% voted to unionize. 1 year later — still no fair contract. We’ve had enough! Strike Authorization Vote starts Monday, April 14, 2025.

Postdocs turned out in numbers to the rally. More than a year since we voted to form our union, we rallied with hundreds of postdocs against @WeillCornell's refusal to agree to a fair contract - one that safeguards our appointments, workplace rights, and economic well-being.

Our elected bargaining committee will continue to negotiate with @EinsteinMed at our session this afternoon. Stay tuned for more updates!

This progress is a direct result of our organizing efforts. It’s proof that when we stand together and make our voices heard, we can move @EinsteinMed in the right direction towards our goal of a fair and enforceable contract.

We pressed @EinsteinMed to clarify their remaining objections to some of our key demands. While their responses made it clear that we are still far apart in some areas, our discussions were helpful for keeping negotiations moving toward a fair agreement.

At last Friday's session, the @EinsteinMed administration presented counter proposals on the 10 articles where they have been showing minimal movement or even moving backwards since October! Check out their counter proposals here:

We delivered the letter in person on last Thursday with researchers from across departments @EinsteinMed.

In response to lack of progress, researchers from across campus began circulating an Open Letter, urging @EinsteinMed to avoid further delays and stop going backwards in their counter proposals. A majority of postdocs signed the open letter!

While we made significant progress at the start of negotiations, by February @EinsteinMed had started slowed down in their responses, making only minimal movement and even going backwards on some previous positions.

🚨BARGAINING UPDATE! 🚨Last Friday we had our 12th bargaining session, where we made progress after months of delays and backward movement by @EinsteinMed.

Last week at our National Day of Action, @IcahnMountSinai senior researcher @piyushKAVIRAJ spoke about the importance of uniting the scientific community to fight back against cuts to federal science funding. "What unites us is our determination to do the best for science!"
